About Maria and Carlos

Maria de los Angeles Bosque is the oldest of 5 children of a Puerto Rican-Spaniard parents. Her parents met in Spain while her father Pablo studied in Med School. After the first 3 children were born, the family moved to Puerto Rico to the west side of the Island.

"I liked to study math and science," she says. "I'm a hands-on type person." In high school, a chemistry teacher captured her attention. "The way he was teaching it, I was interested right away," Maria recalls. "I think that was the major spark for me going into science."

After earning her bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of PR, Maria accepted an engineering position at NASA Lewis Research Center in Cleveland Ohio. There she continued studies at the University of Toledo and graduated from a Master Degree in Engineering.

She was offered a position in Engineering in Information Magnetics in PR and accepted the new challenge while being near her family and cultural environment, and enjoying the great weather. It was at this company that she met her husband Carlos M. Chaparro, an Industrial Engineer. After they married they accepted job positions with Baxter and later Occular Sciences. They had two children: Pablo Carlos (Major in Administration and Real Estate Investor) and Angeles Cristina (a Civil Engineering Student).

With their engineering careers completed, Carlos and Maria started a new career in Real Estate and Puerto Rico Group Real Estate was founded. They hope to work in Real Estate for many more years helping costumers make their dream come true.

Maria says that working with her husband Carlos is "a healthy collaboration." One can work at the office with the administration and the computers while the other is showing properties to clients. Carlos says "it is exciting, as well, to actually work on something that has a high degree of relevance for the clients and for the economy of the Island today."

Carlos and Maria are grateful to God for all the blessings that they have received and are active members at their local Catholic Parish.
